Class Assignment – Information Regarding Bankruptcy
February 19th, 2009 | by admin |I am only twelve years old and my teacher just gave our class a new assignment. The topic is “Bankruptcy.” I don’t even know what that is, and I don’t even know where I am supposed to get any information about bankruptcy from. When school was over I came home and told my mom. She was really upset but she tried not to show me how annoyed she was at the teacher. My mother told me to go to the library and see what I could find there. So I went. I took a bus and walked into my really big library only four blocks down from the street from the bus stop. After asking the nice elderly man at the desk where I can find books to research from, I was led to a shelf filled with books about bankruptcy. I opened up the cover of the first book that I could reach and I saw a scary picture. I saw a man sitting on the corner of a street and he was all dressed in rags and looked like he didn’t take a shower for days. Under the picture it explained that this man lost his job and now he walks around the streets begging for money. This really upset me and I was really sad for that man. I quickly closed that book and put it back on the shelf.
